Purolator ready to deliver over one million packages on Cyber Monday

If you are a Canadian retailer, you certainly understand why Cyber Monday has become one of Purolator’s busiest shipping dates of the year. As a company that provides shipping and logistics solutions to many Canadian retailers, Purolator has seen first-hand the significant impact of Black Friday and Cyber Monday. In fact, for the third consecutive year, Purolator expects to deliver over one million packages on Cyber Monday, marking Nov. 30 as a peak shipping date.
This wasn’t always the case.

The week before Christmas has traditionally been Purolator’s peak period over the holiday season as businesses work to ensure their shelves are stocked and items are delivered to their customers before Dec. 25.

While this period before Christmas is still our busiest time, the early surge in shipments we manage on Cyber Monday confirms how enthusiastically the Canadian retail market has embraced Black Friday and Cyber Monday, which have traditionally been exclusively south-of-the-border shopping events.

With these dates now entrenched in the Canadian retail landscape, thousands of Purolator workers across Canada are ready to deliver the one million packages expected on Nov. 30, as well as another million expected on Dec. 16, which falls within our traditional peak holiday period. Over the course of the holiday season, we expect to help retailers deliver their promises to customers by moving over 23 million pieces.

Whether it’s Cyber Monday, Dec. 16 or any day of the year, Canadian retailers can count on Purolator – we’re ready to deliver.

We’d love to hear from you. How have Black Friday and Cyber Monday affected your business?
