Over 12 million pounds of food raised through Purolator Tackle Hunger

Announcing the winners of the 2017 Great Purolator Food Fight

We have officially wrapped up the 15th season of Purolator Tackle Hunger® (PTH) and another successful year! From our PTH kickoff event last May with Her Honour the Honourable Elizabeth Dowdeswell to the always popular PTH Online Holiday Auction in December, our employees showed their dedication to supporting those in need in 2017.

“Together we raised 1.5 million pounds of food for food banks across Canada, thanks to the unwavering support and devotion of our employees,” said John Ferguson, President and CEO. “Whether it was volunteering at a Game Day Food Drive, or bidding on an auction item, employees always came prepared to help support local communities.”

Below are some notable highlights from the end of 2017, including the leaders in the 2017 Great Purolator Food Fight!

Since its inception in 2003, the PTH program has raised over 12 million pounds of food for banks across Canada. These donations help support over 850,000 Canadians who visit food banks every month. In 2018, let’s keep up the great work so that we can continue to help alleviate hunger in our communities.

Employees collect donations at our PTH Game Day Food Drive at a Hamilton Tiger-Cats game.
